Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive procedure that allows doctors to examine and treat problems inside the uterus using a thin, lighted tube called a hysteroscope.

There are various contraception options available, including birth control pills, patches, injections,
intrauterine devices (IUDs), implants, condoms, and natural family planning methods. The choice
depends on factors such as lifestyle, health history, and preferences

Hysteroscopy is usually well-tolerated, with mild discomfort similar to menstrual cramps. It can be done under local or general anesthesia, depending on the procedure's complexity.

Most patients recover within a day or two and can resume normal activities soon, but some may experience mild cramping or spotting for a few days.

Hysteroscopy is generally safe, but possible risks include infection, bleeding, or uterine injury, though these complications are rare.
